RON CAMPBELL

Ron Campbell is a Lindy Hopper, producer, choreographer, teacher, coach & entrepreneur. He started swing dancing with his wife, Robin, in February 1996 as a means of expression for his joy for the music of the 1920's, 30's & 40's. Over the years, Ron studied many forms and styles of dancing from the swing era; East Coast, Lindy Hop (Savoy & Smooth), Balboa, Collegiate Shag & 1920's Charleston to name a few.

In 2000, Ron was a founding member of The Hollywood Hornets where he served as a dancer, coach, choreographer & manager for the 3-time Team Division National Jitterbug Champions (2002, 2004, 2005). In addition to the competitions, the Hornets were also a professional performance team, with regular appearances over a 10-year period at The Hollywood Bowl, Las Vegas, and countless entertainment industry events. Since the disbanding of the Hollywood Hornets, Ron has served as coach and choreographer for several performance and competition teams over the years.

In 2003, Ron was invited to start teaching with Rusty Frank at Lindy By The Sea and quickly realized he has a great passion for teaching dance. Ron and Rusty developed an intermediate level Lindy Hop program (The Track) and an intermediate level Lindy Hop styling and musicality program (The Master Track) both of which have been in place at Lindy By The Sea since 2005. They also co-produced a 6-DVD video series for The Track.

In April of 2020, while kicking off the new Lindy By The Sea At Home Edition online classes, Ron developed a new Boogie move based workout program - "Ron's Morning Boogie". He continues to produce this weekly live-streaming and recorded video program which recently celebrated its 3 year anniversary.

Most notably, in 2020, Ron became a co-owner/partner in this great dancing business that is Lindy By The Sea & Rusty's Rhythm Club.
